BCA Alternative Entry Pathway (AEP) for Construction Workers

BCA Vocational Certification pathway
From January 2027, mandatory pre-entry SEC(K) testing for new construction workers from Thailand and China will cease. Under the Vocational Certification pathway, workers holding BCA-recognised vocational certifications will not be required to obtain SEC(K) overseas or locally, subject to the applicable requirements.
Vocational Certification
Workers with recognised vocational certifications may enter through the mainstreamed pathway.

The new vocational-certification pathway specifically applies to new construction workers from these two source countries from January 2027.
Faster Recruitment
Removing overseas testing can significantly shorten the recruitment timeline. BCA says the overall hiring timeline could reduce from around four months to about one month.
